Seventh of November

A decade ago, the world changed. A decade ago, over half a decade of progress came to a screeching halt. A decade ago, a body of work drew its last breath. A decade ago, lines in the sand had been drawn. A decade ago, brothers and sisters no longer spoke A decade ago, fathers and sons left each others sides A decade ago, daughters and mothers, and generational curses were broke. Family names changed. Understandings fractured Neighborhoods divided, the best laid plans were set into motion. A world where mothers and sons don't speak the same language. Fathers and daughters can't look each other in the eyes. Friends, neighbors, brothers and sisters in Christ divided at the fundamental edges. All the while one voice who had warned them for half a century, fell silent. It feels just like yesterday. Hearing the news from a love lost. The grief that overcome across the airwaves of his passing. Meanwhile people walked by, snapchats of a Google Home singing them "happy birthday" on the day of his death. While the world continued to fracture. He told you. He warned you. He begged you. But all the while the world gave a cold and a broken "hallelujah"
